Zimbardo in the UK and a new blockbuster movie

Phil Zimbardo the social psychologist behind The Stanford Prison Experiment that you study in the AS course is visiting the UK to give a series of talks and conferences and also to promote his new book “The Lucifer Effect”. The book (which has a website here) looks at why seemingly ‘normal’ people commit evil acts based around what he’s discovered from his research like the prison experiment.
Quite interestingly, it seems that there is going to be a feature film made based on the Stanford Prison Experiment. Although this wont be a new thing - quite ironically the Germans made a film in 2001 called Das Experiment which was ‘loosely’ based around it. So, something to keep your eyes out for.
I have just ordered the book so as soon as I’ve flicked through it I will post more about it.
