At this point in the year lots of students are spending hours of time revising for their A Level exams but let’s think about the future and moving on. Many of you will have already had your offers to university or if you’re in your AS year actually be considering what to do be that going to university or moving into industry. If you’re thinking of moving into Psychology it’s always good to know what options you have and what the different paths are to careers in Psychology.

First you will want to look at all the Psychology Degrees out there and see which one is the best for you. You can do this through the UCAS site or use the BPS to find all the courses that they accredit. Speak with your psychology teachers to get their opinion on the modules on the courses and check sites like ‘the student room’ to speak with others on that course. With most accredited psychology degrees you will find that the first two years are compulsory and you only get the option to choose modules in your third year.

You might also want to think about the career that you want to move into afterwards to ensure that you are following the correct path to get into your chosen profession.
